Effective Distribution Strategiesfor the Independent Producer

“Reel Rasquache is a film festival with incredible opportunities for the American born Latino filmmaker and producer. I have been fortunateenough to participate in the festival twice, once in 2009 where I won the Best Webisode Award for Ylse and then again in 2011 where my filmRevenge of the Bimbot Zombie Killers took the Best Feature prize; I directed both. I am happy to report that Bimbots was just picked up fordistribution because it is an award winning film! This would have never happened if the Reel Rasquache Film Festival was not around. I amincredible grateful to the wonderful opportunities it has afforded me and any financial sponsor would be lucky to be able to lend their name tothis worthwhile event.” — Joe Camareño, Actor, Producer, Writer

“Reel Rasquache was instrumental in the continuation of relationships I have developed with unique, talented Latino artists andfilmmakers in Los Angeles, and additionally helped me reach an audience underserved by the traditional industry studios.”

— Adam Schlachter, Director, The Seven

“A wonderful and needed showcase for Latino films. The festival provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers and audiencesto interact and learn from each other.” — Carlos Ávila, Director, Price of Glory
