During the 1960s, Laurie Pepper was staff photographer for the L.A. Free Press but went astray and wound up in rehab where she met and then married Art Pepper.  A er his death she con nued to manage his publishing company, Arthur Pepper Music Corpora on, and produce and promote his music.
