Value checking: All transactions with a value of USD 50 thousand or more (especially value of transactions >500.000 USD)Unit value checking: Unit value range for all main imports and exports (ex: coffee, rice, crude oil,..)Volume and net weight:

+ Net weight is not in declaration+ Use of gross weight in bill of lading

●Value checking: All transactions with a value of USD 50 thousand or more (especially value transactions >500.000 USD)

+ Checking volume versus volume for individual record (experience-based, regularity of transaction of company,..)

Incorrect HS code

●Incorrect HS code lines are highlighted in blue. So we correct the fault depend on product name, company name…

Exchange rate checking: 92 percent of transactions are quoted in USD. Using of exchange rates for converting value quoted in other foreign currencies to USD valueTotal value of import and export by type of currencies

Use of Revised Kyoto Convention: Not completely follow definition of Customs procedures under Revised Kyoto Convention.+ In Vietnam, we have a very complicated customs regime/procedure code and they are different from other countries. + There are 6 main customs procedure codes are applied in Vietnam Customs in present: Home use; Investment; Processing type 1; Processing type 2; Temporary admission, other procedures.

In sum, almost all possible errors had been found in Headquarter (Statistics Division) which will be sent back to field Customs

checkpoints and in principal receive corrected/verified data after 5 days.

Trends: unit value range for all main imports and exports.Checking of growth rates: Growth rates of import and export total value; value and volume of main imports and exports; total values/products by country (In pricinpal, Import – Export growth rates of every market does not change very much every month. If there are dramatical changes of importation from any country, we must recheck).
