There will be cookies and refreshments following
today’s service to celebrate the graduates and allow
time to talk with and encourage them. Please make
sure to stay and enjoy some fellowship with one
another and the grads.
Baptism Service

If you are interested in taking the next step with your
faith and getting baptized please mark the Connections
Card. An interview process is required.
EBC Kitchen
If you have held an event in the kitchen, make sure that
all of the linens and towels used at your event are
washed and returned to the kitchen within 48 hours.
If anyone has wash cloths or dish towels to donate, all
contributions will be appreciated. Please drop off at the
Church Reception desk.

Wing staircase). June 13th will be the last day you can

Youth Group for Junior and Senior High School will
take a short break--no Youth Group on June 4th or
June 11th. Youth Group will resume June 18th.
Reach 2014 Taco Feed
Sunday, June 8th, 5:00pm, Fireside Room
A taco feed will be held on June 8th before the
business meeting to support the Guatemala Missions
team. If you can bring a financial donation to support
the team it would be appreciated, if not, come and
enjoy great food and fellowship!

Quarterly Baby Shower
Monday, June 2nd, 7:00pm, Fireside Room
Please join us at the Quarterly Baby Shower to
welcome and bless two new baby boys and their
Mamas! We will get to meet “Jack” Burroughs,
son of Kyle and Heidi, and Maverick Watkinson, son
of Sean and Rachel. It will be a time of sharing,
admiring, and laughing along with some fruit and
desserts! We hope to see you there!

Women’s Bible Study Workshop
Saturday, June 14th, 8:45am, Fireside Room
The morning will start with a light breakfast followed
by teaching “ How to Read and Interpret the
Bible” taught by Barbara Smith. Please sign up on
the Connections Card or at the Connections desk so
food and material accommodations can be made.
Women’s Summer Bible Study
Thursdays, starting July 10th, 6:30-8pm, Fireside Room
This summer the Women’s Bible study will be
working through the book Prayers of the Bible:
Equipping Women to Call on God in Truth by Susan
Hunt. The study will be held for 6 weeks beginning
on July 10th and is open to all women, high school
age and up! Sign-ups begin today and will run
through June 22nd at the Connections desk. Books
cost just $10!
EQUIPPING CLASSES
Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands
Sundays, 9:00am, Chapel, beginning June 8th
This study is designed to help you grow spiritually, as
well as equip you to help others grow. The class
features a lecture by Paul Tripp on DVD followed by
discussion and a study guide. Please mark on your
Connections Card if you are interested in this class.
Materials are available for purchase but are not
required for attendance to the class.

Ambassador Class
Sundays, 9:00am, Fireside Room
The new Ambassador Class topic is based upon the
book: The Holy Land Key by Ray Bentley, in which
Bible texts are discussed from a Hebrew perspective.
God’s Covenants with His chosen people Israel will be
taught in depth. Books are available for $12.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Summer Sunday School Schedule
June-August
During the 10:30am worship service for the
months of June, July and August, children who
are currently in 1st-6th grades will attend worship
with their parents. There will be
childcare/Sunday school for all ages during the
9:00am Equipping Hour, and for nursery
through kindergarten during the 10:30am
worship service. School-age children will be
promoted in the fall.

Camp Discovery registration forms have been
sent to 5th & 6th graders of EBC. If you did not

Plans/Goals: Attending Biola University to pursue a Bachelors Degree in
Kinesiology, emphasis in Sports Medicine. Ahna hopes to use her degree to
help those in need around the world.

Activities/Honors: reading, singing, drama productions, taking piano lessons,
teaching piano lessons, crochet and embroidery projects and baking apple
pies. Maddie is an active member in EBC Youth Ministry and has gone on
two short term missions trips to Mexico and Guatemala.
Plans/Goals: Attending New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho where
she will pursue a Bachelors in Liberal Arts and Culture.
CARLY EILERS
School: Skagit Valley College—Running Start
Parents: Tim & Karen Eilers
Activities/Honors: ballet for 13 years, piano for 12 years, teaching piano two
years. Placed 2nd in the Skagit Valley Conference Recital Competition,
playing in upcoming Honors recital at Eastern Washington University. Served
EBC in Awana, worship ministry and youth ministry and participated in
Reach missions, and 2013 Guatemala team.
Plans/Goals: Taking a gap year. Carly will continue to teach piano and will
be involved in ministry here at Emmanuel as she continues to seek God’s
direction for her future.
NATHANIAL GIBBS
School: Homeschool
Parents: John & Kyla Haas, son of the late Jim Gibbs
Activities/Honors: Baseball, piano, bass guitar, worship team, missions and
ministry volunteer
Plans/Goals: Currently working on a history degree through “College Plus.”
