Enssib is located in LYON, 2 hours from Paris by train.

The building was renovated in 2007. This is a great place to study and work !

50 years of ensb, 20 years of enssib

Enssib is born in 1992. We had our 20th birthday last year !

Between 1963 to 1992, enssib was named Ensb.

Being librarian

Be librarian in France is quite complicated. You need to succeed a national competition to be librarian and civil servant in the same time.

After succeeding, librarians are trained at Enssib for 6 months (librarians) or 18 months (head libraians).

At enssib are trained :

students in LIS, new librarians, and librarians in

position.

Lifelong learning program

More than 50 courses are proposed in our lifelong learning program.

More than 700 librarians (in position) per year are following our lifelong learning program.
