THIS IS A PHOTO THAT DEMONSTRATES DISCRIMINATION BY THE DUCKS BEING SEGREGATED BY THEIR COLOR. Christian TeachingGod created man in his own image…He created male and

female. (Genesis.1:27)‘Love one another.’ (John.13:34)Do unto others what you would have them do unto you.

(Matthew.7:12)The Story of the Good Samaritan (Luke.10:30-37) In this

parable Jesus tells us to help whoever is in need, even if they are people who you would usually dislike…

Muslim TeachingAll mankind is descended from Adam and

Eve, an Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab; a white person is not better than a black person, nor is a black person better than a white person. (Muhammed’s last sermon)

Whenever you judge between people you should judge with justice. (Quran.4:58)

Its purpose is to contribute to peace and security by promoting international collaboration through education, science, and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, the rule of law, and human rights along with fundamental freedom proclaimed in the UN Charter.

EDUCATION FOR TOLERANCE AND RESPECT

AIMS to:•Counter influences that lead to fear, discrimination and exclusion of others. Tolerance recognizes that others have the right to be who they are.

•Educating for tolerance is a practical alternative.

EFFECTS OF PREJUDICE IN SCHOOL• Victims are more likely to drop out school.• It negatively influences the psychological health of the victims because of feelings of isolation and alienation.

• Victims internalize the very negative views on their abilities that others hold of them and do not live up to their potentials.

• Victims are normally excluded, taunted or physically harmed.
