Purpose of lesson (Learning Objectives)
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Homework Submission
• Aim to develop a good discipline in our students to
review their learning and also to develop a good habit to
see to the completion of work on their own
• It is important that students manage their time effectively
between their studies and their involvement in Co-
curricular Activities (CCA)
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)
• CCA is compulsory and all Sec 1 to 5 students are
subjected to the LEAPS CCA Grading Scheme (which
covers Leadership, Enrichment, Achievement,
Participation, Service)
• CCA is an integral part of our students’ holistic, well-
rounded education
• CCA helps to nurture talents as well as develop positive
character
• All our good performers did well in their CCAs
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Target Setting and Monitoring
• Targets are generated for each student based on national
data and their previous year’s scores
• Every child is to record the subject targets and write actual
scores of every assessment taken next to subject targets.
They are to track their own achievements.
• This allows students to reflect on what are the causes and
effects behind their performance and hence develop some
traits of self-directed learners
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Esprit d ’Excellence Programme
• Embracing the spirit of excellence ensures self improvement.
Excellence to us means ‘Doing Well, Doing Good’.
• A series of programmes have been planned for the development
of the spirit of excellence in all staff and students.
• For the Sec 2E students, they learnt:
1. Self awareness & how to relate to others
2. Study Skills
3. Cleanliness Project
