Mandurah Families GuideOutdoor Fun | Kids Clubs | Holiday Programs | Parenting Support
Children are our most precious resource. What we invest in our children today will shape our world tomorrow.
Mandurah is a growing city that hugs some of Australia’s most beautiful waterways and coast line. This guide aims to give great information about Mandurah places, events and people. It is our hope that this creates opportunities for families to take part in the many local activities and events and feel a sense of belonging to our community.
The Mandurah Families Guide is also available online at mandurah.wa.gov.au/families.
Mandurah Library and Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre have free computers available for the public to use.
We welcome feedback
Please email comments to cdo@mandurah.wa.gov.au or call 9550 3777 and ask for a Community Development Officer.
Mandjoogoordap Koorlanga
The name Mandurah is derived from Mandjoogoordap meaning ‘meeting place of the heart’ and has been a place for festivals and for families to gather and connect for thousands of years. With its protected estuary, bountiful food supply and fresh water springs this area was a great place for raising Koorlanga - children.
We acknowledge the Bindjareb people as the traditional custodians of this land, and pay respect to Elders, past, present and future, as they hold the memories, culture and hopes of Aboriginal people.
