A word (or two) on brandingBranding is not solely a logo. We find ourselves saying this a lot. So, we’ve added a few brand samples to Our World of Logos to demonstrate a logo’s place within a system.

Your brand connects your product or service to the end user. The solution to sustainable business is to create a recognizable brand that demonstrates your values, unique attributes and overall character.

In a marketing context, your brand is a collection of many factors that come together to articulate your identity. This includes and is most-visibly lead by your graphic identity. It is a holistic collection of details—the colour of paint on the walls, fabric for chairs, how employees answer the phone or what they wear.

When a logo is housed within a brand it forms a visual identity. Samples of branding are sprinkled throughout the book:

Great branding in today’s fast paced digital world is critical. The king pin of any brand is the LOGO. A powerful logo needs to be distinctive — eas-ily recognized at a glance. A great logo anchors a company’s brand. When browsing through our collection be cognisant of some key factors that make a great logo: typography, colour, shapes and negative space all make an identity unique, defining the core of an organization. Pay special attention to the personality of typography and the role it plays. At Accurate we love type! It’s our passion and the cornerstone of great logo design.
