NWI Progressing Cavity Pumps
In the beginning of the oil production the reservoirs have a certain energy quantity, called Primary Energy.Along to the productive process occurs the dissipate of the primary energy consequent a reduction of the well productions. The secondary recovery is the additional quantity of oil obtained by artificial addition of energy to the reservoir.The method of secondary recovery more usual utilized is the injection of formation water. Due the chemical compatibility, the produced water is reinjected in the reservais thereby treatment and disposal costs are avoided.For this application, NETZSCH developed the NWI series (NETZSCH Water Injection)
Applications
Formation water injection
Seawater injection
Polymer injection
High pressure oil transfer

To determine the pump rotation, the diagram below can be used:
To determine the pump absorbed power, the diagram below can be used. In this diagram, the product must be ΔPr x Qr.
ΔPr=Application Differential Pressure (bar) Qr= Required Application flow (m³ / day)Application ExampleΔPr= 120 bar and Qr= 300m³ / dayProduct: (ΔPr x Qr) = 120 x 300Product: (ΔPr x Qr) = 36000Consumption: 80 kW 105HP

Product [ΔPr x Qr]
n = 100 x Qr [rpm] K Qn
Qn = As per model (rated flow)
ΔPn = model maximum pressure [Bar]
For the above application example
k = 0, 96 - 0, 16 x ΔPr ΔPn
Qr = 300 m³/dayQn = 145 m³/dayΔPr = 120 [bar]ΔPn = 160 [bar]k = 0,84n = 246 rpm
