Scholarship Selection Process
The North Scholarship Committee will award points based on:
• Academic Achievement based on GPA
• Diploma Path
• Test Scores- SAT or ACT Scores
• AP or CC courses completed
• Activities, Leadership, and Employment
• General Evaluation
• Financial Need- based on FAFSA
• Essay
Scholarship Application Requirements
• Attachments:
College you plan to attend:
Must choose only 1 college for application
– Need 1 letter of college acceptance
– If you change schools, you must notify counselor if you change decision.
– Several scholarships are dependent on which school you are planning to attend

FAFSA:
– Student Aid Report (SAR) page showing Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) and including Student Name from the FAFSA.
– If no EFC turned in 0 points awarded.

Bosse Scholarship
• North High School will award 4 $4,000 scholarships
• May be used at DePauw University, IU- Bloomington, Purdue- Lafayette Campus, University of Evansville, or Wabash College
• Must be Vanderburgh County Resident!
Meyer Scholarship
• North High School will award 17 $1,000 Scholarships
• May be used at any school EXCEPT IU or IU affiliated school
Irwin Scholarship
• North High School will award 15 $1,000 Scholarships
• Must attend an accredited institution.
Buck Family Scholarship
• $2,000 for 4 years, renewable– $8000 total amount– student maintains a minimum GPS of 2.0
and is enrolled full-time (minimum or 12 credit hours)
• Must attend IU Bloomington.
North Endowed Scholarship
• $5000• Criteria: 2.5 GPA, academic ability,
financial need as shown through FAFSA and obstacles overcome, demonstrated leadership, demonstrated interest in chosen field of endeavor, letters of recommendation.
• Green Application form – available as you leave or pick up in college and career room.
James C. Crawford
• $1000
• Served on Student Council
• 2.5 GPA
• Required Essay
• Financial Need Considered
• Request application in College and Career Room
Student Council Scholarship
• 2 scholarships, amounts will vary
• Areas to be Considered: Must have served on North Student council
• Selected from those that apply for the Crawford Scholarship
Sharp and MeadowsScholarship
• (2) $1,500 scholarship
• Chosen from those who apply for, but do not receive the other scholarships.
• No separate application
Public Education Foundation Scholarship
• $500 Non-renewable
• Chosen from those who apply for but do not receive any of the other scholarships listed
• No separate application
Giolitto Scholarship
• (2) $500, non renewable
• Chosen from those who apply for, but do not receive the other scholarships.
• Local colleges (USI, UE, Ivy Tech)
• No separate application
Misc. Scholarships
• North will receive smaller scholarships based on availability.
• Chosen from those who apply for, but do not receive the other scholarships.
• No separate application
• EX:Red Cross, USI Foundation..etc.
Scholarship Bulletin
• Updated bi-weekly
• Scholarship Bulletin posted on Remind 101 and sent to senior homeroom teachers.

Deadlines….
• Pay careful attention to deadlines and requirements to scholarship applications.
• Please give at least 1 week for letters of recommendation, application completion, and transcripts to be printed.
• Students request through the College/Career Room located in the Counseling Office
To Obtain a Hard Copy Scholarship Application:
• Fill out a Pink Scholarship Request Form. Place it in file sorter
• Come back 24 hours later to pick up Scholarship Application

Proof of Scholarships
• Bring us proof of all scholarship offers for reports and Class Day!
• Very Important!!!!
• You will NOT be recognized on Class Day for a Scholarship without proof.
• We want proof of all scholarships offered and all scholarship accepted.
FAFSA
• Due 4/15/18 by Midnight!
• Requirement for any Government Aid
• All 21st Century Scholars must submit
