Nobody Cares that You’re an Independent

DistributorThere is a Better Way to Promote Your BIZ

Here’s what I learned about beginning a network marketing

business.

When I began, I was so excited I put the name of my company in my bio and slapped up their banner on my header on Twitter, G+ and wherever else I could. Things went SLOW for me.

I then began to see other network marketers doing this as well, some even put their distributor ID number in their bio, almost as if they had to by some law.

I also noticed some of them talked about nothing but how wonderful the product was, like a broken record. No other content and no value.

I’m not trying to offend anyone, I want to point out that network marketing is a PEOPLE business. People want to know who YOU are, not that your skin cream is miraculous and you are distributor #5498242.

When you talk only about your company that leaves no room for people to ask about YOU, i.e. what your hobbies are, if you have children, or where you live.

Also, if someone truly did want to join your company I think it’s safe to say that they would Google the name first to research it, and if you’re not on the first page of Google, then guess what? They won’t find you.

It’s easier to BRAND yourself as YOU, then as just a Distributor. You could attract more people to you when you be yourself and stop pitching the benefits of your product.

There are millions of distributors spamming their product this way and you won’t stand out unless you be yourself and be unique and provide value.

That’s why millions fail in network marketing, because they believe that all they have to do to set up shop is to slap some logos up and call themselves a distributor.

This is like painting an open sign on the window of your house. Do you think tons of people are going to wait on your grass for you to open?

Here’s the secret: People are dying to follow a Leader. Most people need direction from some kind of authority. So, here’s my proposal:

Study everything you can about network marketing and internalize the material, add a personal twist, and make it your content you can teach others about.

Become a problem-solver for others struggling in network marketing, because the best prospects are the people already involved in network marketing.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t get any sign-ups right away. Becoming a BRAND takes time, but the effort will pay off more so if you are a BRAND than just distributor #7593827

Quick tip for becoming a brand. Create a website using your full name, like johndoe.com, and begin writing original content.

When you learn something new about network marketing write at least 800 words and post it on your site. Do this once a week in the beginning.

When you finish a post, share it on G+, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, maybe Digg and Reddit also.

People will begin to see that you provide insight and value rather than just spamming your product link.

This is what separates the true network marketing leaders from the faceless distributors. Then you are unlimited in what you want to promote.

You won’t be tied down to one company anymore because YOU’RE the brand.
