1. How would you describeyourself?

Someone who values punctu-ality and discipline.

2. If you could change onething about yourself, whatwould it be?

Right now there’s nothing Iwant to change. I made achange in my job three monthsago. In life, you constantlymake changes. You learn a newlesson all the time and thesehelp you or compel you tochange. Changes come all thetime, so accept them andimprove yourself. For example,if you’re unhappy in your job,stop complaining and find anew one. Only you can helpyourself !

3. If you could change one thingabout your family, what would itbe?

Nobody can choose their family.You have them from the day you areborn. You can change jobs, partners,friends but NOT family. There willalways be different kinds of individu-als in your family and you can eitheravoid them or literally live with them.

4. School?Alethea International School.5. What brings you immense sat-

isfaction?If I could help somebody, in some

way, and make a difference in theirlife.

6. What is your idea of perfecthappiness?

A nice lazy day full of rain!7. Are you religious?Moderately.8. Are you superstitious?I am, in certain situations. For

instance, I hate number 13. I evenchange the volume in my car stereo if itis on 13!

9. Your ideal girl?Someone I can have a good conversa-

tion with.10. Which living person do you

most admire?Sir Richard Branson.11. Which is your most treasured

possession?An old World War 2 bullet shell I

found when I was 10 years old, on theMicronesian Island of Yap.

12. If you were marooned on adesert island, who would you like asyour companion?

Someone who could build a boat!13. Your most embarrassing

moment?I was on air, back in 1999, and during

a competition I addressed a lady as“SIR”! She had a very deep voice! Therewas a few seconds of silence and shesaid “actually I’m Mrs. So andso”…LOL. I’m still embarrassed aboutthat.

14. Done anything daring?Many!

15. Your ideal vacation?A quiet week in Nuwara-Eliya, with

my phone switched off ! I might be ableto do it, only after I quit radio.

16. What kind of music are youinto?

Well, I listen to all kinds of musicbecause its part of my job. Personally, Ilove the 90s. Especially 90s hip hop.

17. Favourite radio station?Everlasting Radio18. Favourtie TV station?I hardly watch TV. I’m stuck to my

radio most of the time. I do watch amovie or two whenever possible.

19. What would you like to beborn as in your next life?

Someone powerful enough to stopWhaling in places like Japan andNorway, apparently for “scientific” rea-sons, and protect the Sri Lankan wildelephant before it goes into extinction!

20. Any major future plans?Quite a few. For the moment I want to

keep them quiet.

The Holy FamilyCongre-gationrecently cele-

brated 150 years inSri Lanka.

Various activities,connected with thishistoric event, wereheld wherever theHoly Family Orderplayed a significantrole.

Holy FamilyConvent,Bambalapitiya, didtheir part in grandstyle, on Friday,November 9th, 2012.

The celebrationsbegan in the morning,with a Mass, followedby breakfast, a con-cert, lunch, and thescreening of a film, depicting the activitiesof the Holy Family Order in the country,throughout the 150-year period.

The students had also worked on aposter exhibition of the Holy Family Order.

The concert brought into the limelightthe dancing talents of the students, andalso a performance by a former studentand her two daughters.

The celebrations were put together bythe Past Pupils’ Association of Holy FamilyConvent, Bambalapitiya.

This weekend, at the MountLavinia Hotel, you could experi-ence Christmas traditions around

the world as the hotel ushers inChristmas with a flavor-full flair fordinner

In keeping with the theme, it will fea-ture a wide range of the more popularsacred as well as secular seasonalfavourites.

It will also feature guest performancesby the international award winningRevelations Academy which won twoSilver Medals at the TomohonInternational Choral Competition held inManado, Indonesia in 2010, and therenowned youth choral group, ChoroCalibre, which won one Silver and twoBronze Medals at the Asia CantateInternational Choral Competition held inThailand in July 2012.

The accompanists will be Neranjan DeSilva, on keyboards, and Christo Prins ondrums.
