Business Case:Azure and Microsoft Office 365 for partner VU Thao have placed an order of 840 Office 365 E1 and 600 Office 265 F1 subscriptions.
They have completed the build of their environment in Microsoft Azure and are ready to begin transitioning their clients over the next 12 months. VU Thao have provided Microsoft Power BI Pro for BI solution to the end customer.

Tech Data Advantage: A lot of companies in the region struggle with digital transformation and defining their future strategy. With our consultancy and industry insights, we've helped VU Thao to evaluate and to define their business model against the possible challenges digital transformation brings. The first Office 365 and Azure projects were deployed with our assistance.

Win Case:Islet was a new partner for Tech Data, focused on SAP consulting.
The Islet Group has their own SAP software development team of 15 developers in Budapest, which provides a set of applications used in regular business functions such as work approvals, financial apps, calculation apps and various self-service apps. We started by migrating their own SAP demo and production (S/4 HANA) to Azure. After that, they will migrate three current on-premise customers and all new ones to Azure.
Tech Data Advantage: Islet and Tech Data have a strong partnership that is based on trust, liability and a local team 'always there' when the
partner calls. Also due to our partnership with Microsoft and expertise, Islet has chosen us for their first SAP on Azure project. With the technical support of our local team, the additional SAP expertise of our Centre Of Excellence and our helpful approach – the partner was able to set up an E2E SAP service for the end customers. Also they discovered a new business model that is completely new to their Finnish market. In the following months the partnership with Islet got even stronger, when they introduced 'SAP consulting services' and started hiring new people. Tech Data trained the new starters and prepared them for their Microsoft certifications.

Modern workplace for care servicesBusiness Case:Envida, one of Holland's leading home care organisations, is transitioning from a data centre solution to full cloud and wants to take advantage of all opportunities the cloud has to offer in a secure and easy way.
In their digitalisation journey, being GDPR compliant was a top priority for Envida. To achieve this they also wanted to use one standard on security across all the departments of the company. The Computer Company (TCC) worked with Tech Data to develop the end-to-end process to migrate from the on-premise infrastructure and deploy a flexible solution for Envida to carry on their day-to-day business.
The main request was to be able to add and remove users per month and focus on easy management for IT.
Tech Data Advantage: TCC is an existing Tech Data partner, where a solid relationship exists with the C-level, purchasing department and accounts team. In this strategic alliance we supported TCC in the use and deployment of new technology and support them on the journey from the data centre to the cloud. We provided this strategic reseller with sales and technical training and programme advice.

Streamlining billing processes to capture more valueBusiness Case:As a growing number of MSP’s make the move to become Cloud Service Providers, ConnectWise has used the partner APIs from Tech Data's StreamOne platform to bring Office 365 squarely into its professional services automation offering.
The growth in cloud subscription services and their ability to give organisations the power to spin up new offerings has created a healthy market for MSPs. However, while subscriptions are more convenient for customers, administering agreements can be resource-intensive. As a leading PSA organisation that is 'obsessed about partner success', ConnectWise was looking for a smart way to bring Office 365
into its ConnectWise Unite cloud billing and application management platform.
Tech Data Advantage: One of the chief aims of ConnectWise Unite is to make it easy for CSPs to bill, manage and monitor a range of cloud solutions. By using the StreamOne Partner API, Office 365 has joined the portfolio of cloud services that ConnectWise Unite supports, making the transition from MSP to CSP easier for partners.

A state-of-the-art security package for medical dataBusiness Case:Farmad is a company that develops software applications for pharmacies. They create on-premise and cloud based solutions. All solutions include software, hardware and services. Farmad serves around 1400 pharmacies in Belgium.
Farmad realised that pharmacies collect lots of medical information, which falls in GDPR under 'special categories of data' and needs extra attention concerning data privacy and security.
Tech Data Advantage: Tech Data went onsite together with key vendor partners for POC testing with two firewall solution proposals. After the POCs with all five participating vendors, the shortlist was reduced to three including SonicWall. Farmad
started extensive testing of these vendors. Finally, SonicWall won the deal thanks to the simple configuration and management at an affordable price. Farmad with it's four technical engineers can now install up to 20 firewalls per month.
Together with SonicWall, Tech Data organised a technical training (CSSA) at the Farmad premises. Farmad's four engineers are now successfully certified. Farmad created a custom solution called 'Farmad Security Pack' and is sold 'as-a-service' at a monthly fee, including hardware, software, management tools, reporting opportunities, services and maintenance. Furthermore, Tech Data supported the Farmad marketing department in organising GDPR seminars for pharmacists by providing them with relevant presentation content.

Digitalising security and GDPR complianceBusiness Case:The customer was one of the biggest Slovak financial services companies, employing over 1500 staff, with more than 1300 financial advisors working in the field.
Field staff access data and the company infrastructure remotely. The company was in urgent need of a GDPR-compliant solution prior to May 2018 and settled on Microsoft Office 365. They replaced their previous solution, built on various custom-built and open source software, with Office 365 to ensure data protection of sensitive information relating to hundreds of thousands of their clients.
Tech Data Advantage: Tech Data partnered with NWT, and together wasted no time in creating a
tailored solution around the end user’s needs. We were able to provide a testing environment prior to implementation. NWT also provided their customer with high quality extended technical support.
Additionally, Tech Data is working with NWT to provide Customer Portal- StreamOne SDK, which is to be used for licence management. With this solution the end user can manage seats on their own.
The solution was a finalist in the Microsoft Awards in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, under the category of Security and Data Protection.

Remote monitoring for high quality wine production Business Case:A quality winemaker in France optimised production, with an IoT remote monitoring solution built around the wine processing machines of the specialised manufacturer – Bucher Vaslin.
The solution was designed to optimise labour time during the grape transformation process and the production output, by leveraging the direct connection between the machine user and the machine producer. This solution, through adding; a 4G gateway to the existing machine PLC, data capture, analytics and visualisation tools, allows the customer to capture problems and monitor the wine making process remotely. The data is ingested into Azure IoT Hub and stored in a SQL data base. Based on events the Azure IoT rules engine pushes notifications in real time to update the end user through the Bucher Vaslin mobile app.
Tech Data Advantage: With the knowledge and expertise of our local team, supported by the Centre of Excellence, we were able to identify the quickest and simplest solution. The partner was more than confident in the abilities of Tech Data and with the help of our platform they are able to monitor and control costs. The technical training provided to the partners' team was highly appreciated and even inspired the CEO to start investing more in internal technical workshops and Microsoft certifications. Next steps include the use of advanced analytics to increase wine quality and maintenance. The mobile app will be extended to the whole Bucher Vaslin catalogue.
