- WHAT IS A SCIENCE FAIR? A science fair is generally a competition where contestants present their science project experiments and results in the form of a report, display board, and models that they have created.

- WHEN AND WHERE IS THE SCIENCE FAIR? The Science Fair will be held Feb. 20 and Feb. 21. It will be held at the Newell Middle School gymnasium.

- WHAT GRADES CAN PARTICIPATE? Grades K-12 can participate in the science fair. Primary - grades K-2 Work can be Handwritten Typed Printouts done only by student on backdrop Intermediate - grades 3-5 Grades 3, 4 and 5 are required to complete the elementary log book Log book is to accompany project exhibit and have a cover Junior high - grade 6-8 Log book Abstract Senior High - grades 9-12 Log book required and abstract required Work must be typed or be a computer printout completed only by student Typed work recommended if considering regional competition
