SINGAPORE, 13 JULY 2015 – MTV expands its foray into the cooking show genre! Tastycompetition series Snack-Off is the latest cooking offering from the belly of mastermind RobDyrdek (MTV’s Ridiculousness). The food-themed show with an MTV spin for young peoplewill premiere on MTV in Asia on Thursday, 30 July at 9pm (WIB), 10pm (SG), and 11pm(MY), Monday, 3 August at 12pm (PH), and Saturday, 29 August at 10pm (TH) . Hosted byEddie Huang with judges consisting of supermodel and food fanatic Chrissy Teigen, comedianYassir Lester and master chef Jason Quinn, this new hilarious series will bring food andlaughter to MTV’s audiences. Amateur chefs battle it out using creativity in the kitchen totransform everyday munchies into full-fledged meals.

In each half hour episode, Huang brings his snack-expertise to help guide contestants througha series of unique challenges which range from making an entrée using potato chips as the"Mystery Munchie" to creating a gourmet dessert using jelly beans. The judges then taste,

debate and determine the amateur chefs' fates. The contestants are all vying for a cash prize,their recipe in the "Snack-Off" cookbook, and the coveted golden spork necklace! The showpromises to leave fans hungry for more. Click here for a sneak peek.

Huang is widely known as the chef and owner of the popular restaurant Baohaus in New YorkCity's East Village – an advocate for the young and cultured as well as experienced foodiesalike. He is also a writer, speaker and producer and his memoir and first book, Fresh Off TheBoat released by publisher Spiegel and Grau, a division of Random House became a NewYork Times Bestseller in its first week.

Following May’s premiere of Brothers Green: EATS! , Snack-Off is the second food-themedshow MTV is airing in Asia. In a U.S. study, nearly 50% of millennials call themselves“foodies”* and a separate U.S. study found that millennials also crave heightened eatingexperiences with intense flavours and extreme textures**. These are reflected in the show’susage of snacks and random ingredients such as crispy, deep-fried bacon, sweet, sugar-glazed donuts and sticky peanut butter to come up with creative and delicious recipes.

New episodes of the latest season of Ridiculousness also premiere on MTV on Tuesday, 25August at 9pm (WIB), 10pm (SG), and 11pm (MY), Friday, 28 August at 12am (PH), andThursday, 22 October at 11pm (TH).
