Class/School Expectations
My goal is to keep high teacher-parent communication through the year – see
Weekly Behavior Chart
Students are responsible for recording their behavior at the end of each day.
Check on Friday to see if your child needs to have it signed. If so, they will need to bring it back to school signed on Monday.
See example on next slide
Homework
• Average of 30-40 minutes of homework each Monday-Thursday night
• Plus 15 minutes of reading• Weekly Reading Fluency Checks • Occasional weekend assignments
in science, social studies, or a long term project
• If struggling on homework, call me or write me a note!
Class Work/HW Grading
• Class work and homework scored in a check plus, check, check minus format
• Check Plus = A• Check = B• Check Minus = C
• Class work and homework not turned in is counted as a zero.
• I always accept late assignments until the end of the term for partial credit (√-).
• Any assignment turned in late will automatically receive a check minus if done correctly. This is much better than receiving a zero on the assignment!
Stay Connected!
•Communication is SO IMPORTANT– Class Messenger (parent-parent,
parent-teacher, donating, volunteering)•Usually at school until after 4pm•Please call the school M-F 8-8:30 with any concerns or changes in your child’s day•District Website: www.haverhill-ps.org •Class website is www.mspremont.com
Please remember to…
• Check & sign agenda sheets nightly found in your child’s binder
• Help to keep binder organized– When in doubt, DON’T THROW IT OUT!!!
• Review the Weekly Behavior Chart with your child and then sign & return Monday (if needed)
• Please contact me if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns.
