School Counseling (Guidance) in Fifth Grade

Students in fifth grade will receive guidance classroom lessons once a week for 30 minutes. During this time, students will grow in the

following areas:

SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL

● Understand change is a part of growth

● Develop positive coping skills● Recognize the importance of

conflict resolution● Work cooperatively in small

and large groups● Continue to develop

self-advocacy and communication skills
