This increase in D.A.isbased on average increase in Consumer Price Index Numbers from July, 2008 to December, 2008 vis-a-vis theprevi,ous six months. Copy of the Order is on the website of the Department.This D.A. is applicable to all 29 scheduled employments. The 'revised minimum rates of' wages areindicated below:

The Labour Department, Government of NCT of [jelhi~advises ali employers, covered by'theMinimum Wages Act, 1948 to pay wages to its workmen as per the revised rates. Attention of the employers isdrawn to- sub-section 3 of Section 20 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 which empowers the Authorityto grant compl;lnsation' uoto ten times the amount payable to the workman.
