(NOT A PERSONALITY CONTEST)

• Strength in major lifts / Fitness Level• Quickness and Speed• Size (doesn’t always mean bulk, could be the HEART)

• Knowledge of the Game• Toughness and hitting ability• Attitude / Coach-ability• Performance (making the PLAY / Getting It done)

******Head coach has final say, listen to staff, has input / it’s something we do not take lightly

Strength & Conditioning

• Must be done all year long: Athletic Strength Training or Strength Training, after-school, and Summer Training

• Training Focus: Strength, Speed, Agility, Flexibility, Quickness (more than just lifting a few weights)

programs mandate and conduct a highly structured year around TEAM lifting and running program

• Any age with proper supervision, technique, and appropriate weight.

Summer 08 Strength &

Conditioning• Attendance is a must for safety & success

• 4 Days a week (3 at School, 1 at home)

• School Training: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 7:30 am to 10 am

• Acclimates your body for the demands of football

• Vacations are excused

Summer 08 Strength &

Conditioning• Our program trains the proper energy

system for football through running, lifting, agilities, and stretching.

• Not training the proper energy system (6-8 weeks) prior to the start of padded practices has led to cases of injuries, heat illnesses, and other life threatening situations due to the body not being ready for the demands of football.
