Web 3.0...Convergence!

• The trend of convergence will continue. Your phone is your camera, is your computer, is your radio, is your GPS system, is your calendar, is your watch, is your tv, etc.

• People will continue to demand access in a mobile modality. More apps will be designed for small portable devices like netbooks and mobile phones.

• Cloud computing will become more ubiquitous.

"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone." - Rod Serling

On a Friday night in October 1959, Americans began slipping into a dimension of imagination as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. They've really never returned.

• Seek out people who use the same technology as you do and form an informal "users group".

• Encourage people who know you to send you things that relate to your interests.

• Attend conferences. I encourage you to find a friend here today who shares your interests. It's not just about the "what" you learn here today but also about the "who".

• Look for websites/blogs/twitter feeds/ listserves that will deliver a steady stream of information to you.
