Honda Amaze comes in following versions with two engine and two transmission and two fuel options,

The Honda Amaze sedan is the new sub-four meter entrant for the Indian market. More importantly it is the first diesel vehicle from Honda India.

The interiors of the Amaze are similar to that of the other Honda models and very closely resemble trims of the Brio.

The 400-litre boot of the Amaze is largest in the segment – it is quite commendable considering the car is under four-meters in length. The only complaint that we have about the interiors is that the rear-seats don’t split or fold.

The Honda Amaze petrol is powered by refined 1.2-litre i-VTEC producing 88PS and 109Nm of torque the same unit that powers the Brio, with the ARAI fuel economy of 18kpl. The sub-four meter sedan also gets a 5-speed automatic petrol variant with ARAI fuel efficiency of 15kpl.

The Honda Amaze diesel sedan is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre i-DTEC oil burner that produces 100PS@3600rpm and 200Nm of torque@1750rpm of which the latter is completely flat and does not drop until we get near the redline. The diesel versions have ARAI fuel efficiency of 25.8kpl the highest for any vehicle in India. ABS with EBD is standard across the diesel and automatic variants.

Japanese automaker Honda finally entered India’s lucrative MPV segment with the launch of the Mobilio.

The stylish 7-seater MPV, which competes in the mid-size premium MPV segment, combines sporty exterior design, space and comfort in the right size to suit the needs of Indian families.

Mobilio is designed to appeal to a younger audience who look for distinctive looks along with the practicality of an MPV.

The Mobilio, as a result, looks more appealing and lively than all its rivals. The styling is particularly quirky once past the B-pillar: the combination of a large glasshouse, long overhang and the sporty looking taillights and the bumper set the Mobilio apart from the competition. Additionally, the Mobilio is also available in a sporty RS variant which has sportier exterior design details than the standard model.

The Mobilio RS gets projector headlamps with LED lamps, unique alloy wheel design, sporty chrome grille, tailgate spoiler, side sill garnish, retractable wing mirrors with turn indicators and chrome exterior door handles.

Developed using Honda’s design philosophy of “Man Maximum, Machine Minimum”, the Mobiliopromises optimum utilization of space and practicality with its cleverly designed interiors. While the design and the layout of the interior is very similar to that of the Brio and the Amaze.

The Mobilio is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol unit is the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which delivers 119bhp of power and 145Nm of torque.

The 1.5L-litre i-DTEC diesel engine, on the other hand, is based on Honda’s latest Earth Dreams Technology. It delivers 100bhp of power and 200Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Honda claims a fuel economy of 24.2 kmpl, making it the most fuel efficient vehicle in its class.

Honda City comes in following versions with two engine and two transmission and two fuel options.

Honda unveiled the fourth-generation City globally at an event in New Delhi on November 25, 2013.

The revised car was launched on January 7, 2014.

The 2014 Honda City sedan retains the overall design but has got changes to both the exterior as well as the interiors. It is also packed with a host of new features.

The revised sedan is not a completely new product and development has taken place in terms of a sporty and aggressive design.

This is based on the carmaker’s ‘Exciting H Design’ philosophy which is expected to make its way to all the upcoming cars from Honda.

The changes include the modifications to the front and rear profile of the vehicle. The revised front grille displays a singular broad horizontal slat laden with chrome. It tapers upwards at the edges and gets the Honda emblem in the center. The grille extends down to the bumper which sees another thin horizontal slat before the air intakes.

The double barrel headlamps are wider. The front bumper, which houses the circular fog lamps with honeycomb surrounds, gets redesigned air intakes. The bonnet has two vertical creases to channelize the air.

The side profile of the car also exhibits the creases meant to reduce the overall aerodynamic drag. Though the overall length of the vehicle is the same, the wheelbase is longer.

The interiors of the new Honda City are very similar to the layout of the previous car. However, the plastic quality has improved. It gets more buttons on it for audio connectivity, phone controls and cruise control.

For tuning the car to the best possible efficiency, the automatic car’s dashboard gets an ‘Eco’ button. A center arm rest is also present.

The new Honda City is being offered with two sets of engines and gearbox options. The diesel engine is the 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit from the Amaze sedan that churns out 98bhp and 200Nm of torque while the petrol is the retuned version of the 1.5-litre i-VTEC unit which produces 119bhp and 145Nm of torque.

Honda claims that the new City has the highest ARAI efficiency numbers in the segment. The 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine is India’s most efficient diesel engine delivering an ARAI tested mileage of 26 kmpl. The petrol 1.5-litre i-VTEC delivers fuel efficiency of 18kmpl with the CVT and 17.8kmpl with the five-speed manual.

Honda CR-V comes in following versions with 2 engine and 2transmission and 1 fuel options.

The 2007 Honda CR-V has very bold looks and is the most compact crossover SUV available. It is very evident that Honda has attempted to make it more car-like and has succeeded. What this has done is made the new CRV sportier.

Tweaks to the A pillar and the center of gravity has bolstered the performance. The grille and headlight cluster adds to the aggressive and sporty stance. The changes, though radical, are functional even from the engineering aspect.

The engine choices on offer are the 2.0l and 2.4l. The 2.4l version also comes with an automatic. This rightly brings with the manual transmission which is really smooth with assured silky, short shifts. This really stands out apart from the good power output from the engine which is 143bhp for the 2.0l and 161bhp for the 2.4l. The ride quality acts as the litmus test to show the car-like dynamics it displays.

The body roll observed in common crossovers is more car-like. It does not have a rugged appeal though and from inside is very silent.

Overall it is a good package and value for money with the features that accompany the impressive ride quality. The contemporary styling and neat arches are head turners. A fine cruiser for long drives wherein you can expect 12kpl and around 9kpl within city limits. The 2.0l version could give you a tad bit more on the mileage front.
