Rustenburg – Alison Hillstead, an East London born actress and model, will be holding a fundraiser – Plati-num auditions – in Rustenburg where aspiring actors, models, singers and dancers of all ages will have the opportunity to be scouted by Elouise Janse Van Rens-burg for The International ARTS (Applause Rising Tal-ent Showcase).Each year Elouise J V Rensburg and Elsubie Verlin-den, regional director, travels through South Africa to scout the best talent the country has to offer to attend the International ARTS Talent Showcase, where South African models, actors, singers and dancers get to au-dition in front of Kim Myers, international talent scout and director of the ARTS.South Africa has had endless success at The ARTS Convention. Elsubie Verlinden has managed to se-cure modelling contracts, 52 scholarships from The New York Academy with scholarships to the value of $572 000, auditions for Disney and Nickelodeon in Los Angeles. Her models have been booked for New York Fashion week and the LA Fashion Week, collaborated with Jessie Jay in her latest music video and a featured performance with Taylor Swift in her video Bad Blood.This will be a whole day event held at the NG Pro-teapark Gemeente on 14 November 2015. Rustenburg – Die Maia-gesin van Rustenburg Tokon Shotokan Karate A/C internasionaal het hande vol medaljes gewen by die TSKKIA Alle Style-kompetisie wat 17 en 18 Oktober 2015 by Sun City gehou is. Hier is, van links, voor: Anjelita en Sheliya; agter: Tana en Manny. Hulle het in ‘n wye verskeidenheid van gevegskuns dissiplines deelgeneem, insluitend Shotokan Karate, stafwapens, gesinskata, ‘grappling’ en Gendaiteki Kyujutsu (boogskiet) en het 16 medaljes verower. Rustenburg – Leon de Jager van die Rustenburg Tokon Shotokan Karateklub het vyf goue medaljes en ‘n silwer verower by die Sun City Alle Style-kompetisie op 17 en 18 Oktober 2015. Hy het onder meer uitgeblink in stafkata (bewegings vorm deur middel van ’n staf), swaardkata (bewegings vorm deur middel van ’n swaard), swaardkumite (gesimuleerde geveg tussen twee deelnemers), swaardsny (uitdaging waarby die akkurate sny van die deelnemer getoets word), boogkata (bewegings vorm deur middel van die boog), en boogaksieskiet (verskeie aksie bewegings soos spring en skiet of rol en skiet).
