FORCE

It is a push or pull which either changes or tends to change the state of rest or of uniform motion of a body.

FORCE

In the absence of external force, the inability of a body to change its state by itself is called INERTIA.

INERTIA

It states that every body continues in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line , unless it is compelled by some external force to change that state.

NEWTON’S FIRST LAW OF MOTIONor LAW OF INERTIA

The rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to the applied force and change takes place in the direction of applied force.

F = ma

NEWTON’S SECOND LAW OF MOTION

According to Newton third law of motion , it states that to every action their is equal and opposite reaction.

F’ = - F”

NEWTONS THIRD LAW OF MOTION

Those physical quantities which need magnitude as well as direction for there complete representation is called a vector quantity.

Laws of vector addition

Let two vectors P and Q be represented both in magnitude and direction by sides AB and BC of triangle ABC taken in same order, Then,

Acco. To triangle law, the resultant R is given by the closing side AC taken in opposite order.

Here in triangle ADC AC= AD + CD R= (AB+BD) + CD R = AB + BD + 2AB.BD + CD R = P +BC +2.AB.BD R= P + Q 2P.Q Cos0 R= P + Q + 2PQ Cos0
