LRO Status •  Spacecraft is nominal, instruments are nominal

–  LRO has used ~96% of its fuel, has ~24kg useable –  At current fuel consumption rate, 5 years left –  Can be extended to 11 years with no major burns –  In an evolving elliptical, polar orbit ~40 x 140 km

•  Started the “Cornerstone Mission” in September, a 2-year extension

•  Ramping up for Senior Review next year

Cornerstone Mission Highlights

•  Features the return of Mini-RF to full operations, with the addition of the Goldstone DSS-13 antenna as a transmitter at X-band wavelength.

•  LAMP opened their “failsafe” door, improving their SNR in the FUV

•  Off-nadir CRaTER measurements for near surface hydrogen and its variability

•  Diviner campaign to improve time resolution over targeted areas, eclipse measurements

•  LROC identification of surface changes •  Latest PDS delivery on March 15, over 800 Tb

delivered! –  Occurs every three months

•  The Cornerstone Mission features more team collaborations, cross team analysis.

•  Implementing team workshops to facilitate multiple-team analyses

•  Several teams have added new Co-I’s and collaborators

•  A three volume special issue of Icarus has been published (Vol’s 273, 283, and TBD)
