•Logos often involve the person or groups name

•Logos can be found anywhere on letterheads, business cards, in advertisements, products, billboards, pens, etc- they are very important in representing someone.

Corporate Identity •Logo that easily recognizes a company

and its products and services

•Graphic image that represents “What the company is known for”

•*Logo and Corporate Identity are the core of graphic design

she was a student and sold the design to Nike for $35.

TIPS FOR BETTER LOGO DESIGNS

Start without the computer▫Create rough drafts or thumbnail sketches

of ideas for design▫Sketches don’t have to be detailed it is just

a chance for you to brainstorm ideas▫No idea is too stupid you may combine

different ideas

Start Black & White•Always first start black and white

▫Add color later▫Limit your color to two to three different colors

Blue: trust, loyalty, water, relaxing, power, dignity

Yellow: energy, joy, light, hope Pink: calming, feminine Green: life, growth, money, jealousy, nature,

fertility Purple: richness, power, love, sophistication Brown: credibility, stability White: purity, cleanliness, innocence Red: heat, passion, danger, power
