Neolithic Age

Neolithic humans learned to engage in agriculture as well as in domesticating animals.

• Since humans had to constantly nurture their crops, meaning they no longer moved from one place to another.

• It was called the Neolithic revolution.

• The practice of agriculture as well as the domestication of animals was signs that humans no longer solely depended on nature. The human learned how to use nature.

METAL AGE

• Copper was the first metal which humans first experimented with.

• It was reserved for valuable articles such as jewelry and weapons.

• Copper smelting was first done in West Asia.

Bronze• Copper was combined with tin to produce bronze.

• Metal that was durable than copper

• In China, bronze was called a noble metal and was reserved for making ceremonial vessels to contain the offerings to their gods.

Iron• Proved to be stronger that both copper and bronze

• The Hittites of West Asia were the first ones to discover iron smelting since they had the advantage of having iron mines.
