Students have been learning how to

persuade their audience through

writing. Students have had the chance

to argue their point of view on some

controversial topic.

Topics have included:

Graffiti – Vandalism or Art?

The legal age of driving

independently should be

reduced to 16?

Who are the real heroes in our

society?

Should animals be kept in

cages?

Are computer games a waste

of time?

Learning Intention: to engage your audience with a

Sizzling Start.

This term we have been

researching what it means

to be ‘Cyber Savvy Kids’.

Every week we work to-

gether in our 5/6 unit to

create digital presentations

in groups, with a message

about an area to do with

online safety. Some topics

being researched and de-

veloped are cyber bullying,

online gaming, unwanted

contact, and password

safety online.

Read some of the reflec-

tions from students in 6C

about where they are up to

in creating their videos!

5C has been

working

extremely hard

in Maths.

Students were

asked to select

one piece of

work they were

proud of, explain

why they

selected that

piece and reflect

on how they felt

about maths so

far.
