•Purpose of the Graywater System Specification is to offer guidance to local governments as well as homeowners on a recommended type of graywater reuse system that allows for the benefits of graywater reuse for subsurface irrigation while minimizing human health and environment risks.

•Graywater is defined as wastewater from sources within single family residences, including showers, bathtubs, clothes‐washing machines, hand‐washing lavatories and sinks that are not used for disposal of hazardous or toxic ingredients.
