His master replied, well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful
over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.
Enter into the joy of your lord.
And now abideth faith, hope charity, these three, but the greatest of them all is charity.
The family of the late Sharon D. Dubard-Simmons gratefully acknowledges, with
sincere appreciation, your comforting messages, prayers, floral tributes and
other expressions of kindness during our time of bereavement.
May God continue to bless you all.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6
Sharon Diane Dubard-Simmons, at the age of 59, departed her life on August
17, 2017, at Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge in Columbia, South Carolina.
She was born January 16, 1958 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Sanders

education was in the public schools of Richland County in South Carolina. She
graduated from Eau Claire High School.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Next to God, her family
was the most important thing in her life. Her love for the Lord was evidenced
by the many lives she touched and the love shown to everyone who knew her.
Sharon loved family vacations and spending time with family and friends.
Sharon was predeceased by her biological parents, Nathaniel
Hudson, Sr. and Shirley Mae Harris; her adoptive parents,
Sanders Goodwin, Sr. and Della Mae Goodwin; her brother,

Dubard, Jr; her grandchildren: Jazmine Gibson, Tyana
Tucker, Jateria Harris, Isaiah Brown, Jason Harris, Jr., Jase
Harris and Ja’vel Harris; six sisters: Jessie M. Seals, Rena

Goodwin, Jr., Oscar Goodwin, David (Maxine) Goodwin, Carl (Sherry) Breland
and Nathaniel (Angelica) Hudson; and other loving relatives and friends, all of
whom will miss her dearly.
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I have chosen to follow the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I’ve found the peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too will miss!
Be not burdened with times of sorrow;
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
I’ve cherished many times, good friends
A loved one’s touch,
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undo grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God called for me to set me free.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
My soul is resting; it’s such a blessing,
I am free indeed.
