During the first half of 2011, the ACCION Network and Partners institutions reached 4,566,169 Active Clients, with an Active Portfolio of U.S. $ 5,065.8 million dollars and a Portfolio at Risk indicator of 3.99%.
Compared to the end of December 2010, Active clients grew 358,683 (8.5%), the Active Portfolio increased $ 537.9 million dollars (11.9%) and the Portfolio in Risk> 30 days ratio increased 0.07 points (It changed from 3.92% in December 2010 to 3.99% in June 2011).
The percentage growth in Active Clients according to the grouping shown by the report, was presented as follows: Africa and Asia Partners recorded the highest growth 19.4%, followed by the NGO´s group and Regulated Institutions that grew at the same rate during the first six months of year (8.3%) and finally are the service companies with 6.9%.
The percentage growth in Active Portfolio was registered as follows: the largest increase was reflected by the Service Companies group with 23.5%, followed by Partners from Africa and Asia (14.1%), Regulated Institutions with a growth of 10.9% and Finally the NGO’s group with 3.3%.
The indicator of Portfolio at Risk is reflected as follows: Africa and Asia Partners fell 1.10 points, the NGO’s group also shows a decline of 0.88 points, Service Companies fell 0.57 points; in contrast, The Regulated Institutions group was the only with a PAR increase of 0.20 points.

Institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean highlighted by their increase in Active Portfolio in the first half of 2011 were: Compartamos Bank/ Mexico (129.4 million), Mibanco / Peru (105.1 million) and Credife / Ecuador (70.5 million). From Africa and Asia Partners, the institutions that had higher growth in this variable were: Swadhaar / India (3.3 million), ACCION Microcredit Company "AMC" / China (2.1 million) and ACCION Microfinance Bank "AMfB" / Nigeria (1.3 million).
Institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean that had a higher growth in its Active Clients during the first half of 2011 were: Compartamos Bank / Mexico (152.484 clients) Crediamigo / Brazil (118.488 clients) and Genesis Business / Guatemala (15.172 clients). Of Africa and Asia Partners, the institutions that are characterized by growth in Active Clients: Swadhaar Fin serve / India (14.667 clients), Akiba / Tanzania (1,580 clients) and ACCION Microfinance Bank "AMfB" (1,120 clients).
The institutions that showed improvement in portfolio quality indicator during the first 6 months of 2011: Sogesol / Haiti (‐17.91 points), Fama / Nicaragua (‐3.74 points) and Akiba / Tanzania (‐3.01 points) .

REGULATED INSTITUTIONS ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
* Regulated institutions have arose 310,663 (8.3%) in terms of active clients, this increase was mainly caused by Compartamos Bank/ Mexico that reached up in 152,484 additional active client (7.8%) compared to 2010 and Crediamigo / Brazil that although data are available as of May the increase reached up to 118,488 customers (16.1%). On the other hand, this group increased 432.5 million dollars (10.9%) in terms of active portfolio and also Compartamos Bank/Mexico kept the highest growth by increasing around 129.4 million (16.4%).

SERVICE COMPANIES ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
* Service Companies increased 13,760 additional active clients (6.9%). Over the last six months Credife/Ecuador has been the institution that has kept the highest growth: 10,207 additional clients. Related to active portfolio, this group grew at a rate of 23.5%(the highest growth of the groups), by increasing 94.0 million, as well as active clients Credife was the institution that reflected the biggest growth in the active portfolio, did reached up 70.5 million dollars (22.7%).

NGO’s ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
* NGO’s increased by 15,305 additional clients (8.3%). The highest growth is kept by Génesis Empresarial/Guatemala. The institution increased 11.7% represented by 15,172 clients. There was also a growth reflected in terms of active portfolio (3.3%) by growing in 3.2 million dollars (Although it was the group that kept the lowest growth). The growth was offset by the decrease of 5.3 million in the Active Portfolio of Fundación Mario Santo Domingo/Colombia and as in the active clients it was the unique institution which registered reduction in terms of these variables; it is due they are making some control process in their portfolio. The institution which is reflecting the biggest growth is Genesis Empresarial/Guatemala by registering additional 5.6 million compared to 2010 (8.6%).

AFRICA AND ASIA PARTNERS ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
*Africa and Asia institutions registered growth as of 18,955 clients (19.4%); it is important to highlight that Swadhaar increased in 14,667 additional clients. Related to active portfolio, this group did reached 14.1%, represented by 8.3 million in terms of loan portfolio over the last 6 months. Just like the previous variable, Swadhaar was the institution that reflected the highest growth by showing an increase of 3.3 million (38.9%).

AFRICA AND ASIA PARTNERS ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
*Regulated institutions increased in terms of PAR by reaching 0.2 percentage points (it was the unique group which increased in terms of this variable), besides, this group manages PAR over the weighted average from all institutions (0.14).
*Service companies decreased this indicator by ‐0.57 percentage points and this groups is the only one which their PAR is located below the total weighted average (‐1.53).
*NGO´s decreased 0.88 points and their PAR is above the total weighted average.
*Related to Africa and Asia institutions, this groups reflected the most significant improvement in terms of PAR>30 by decreasing ‐1.10 points. However, it still above the total weighted average from all institutions (0.60).
