This is to certify that the shipment of 88 boxes referenced in the Bishop MuseumShipping Invoice No. 20369 contain ancestral skeletal remains and associatedfunerary objects. These items were removed from Guam in the 1920's and are beingrepatriated to the Government of Guam, at their request . These remains and objectswere packed, sealed, and placed in a shipping container by our staff and Guamrepresentatives on the Bishop Museum grounds on August 18, 2000. TheGovernment representative to whom these remains and objects have beentransferred is Lynda B . Aguon, Acting Guam Historic Preservation Officer,Department of Parks and Recreation, Historic Resources Division.

I request that these ancestral skeletal remains and associated funerary objects behandled with care and respect, and that there be no undue, invasive, or unnecessaryhandling or inspection .
