• Designed and maintained an automated small package manifest computer system which increased accuracy by more than 200%.

• Designed a Shipping Work Center that printed orders by customer priority which improved overall department productivity by 12.5%.

• Maintained LTL rating software that selected and audited Outbound shipments.

Logistics/Supply Chain• Recognized 300 inbound supplier origins, domestically

and internationally, and transitioned from prepaid to collect using the organization core carriers saving $100,000 annually.

• Increased the size of the state font on the address label. This improved the flow of product through the carrier’s terminal, lost freight, and cargo claims.

• Communicated and coordinated activities with other departments and suppliers to improve logistic and packaging performance.

• Analyzed supply chain for risks and opportunities. Developed and implemented business plans to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities.

• Developed a logistical plan, on three occasions, to move finished good product from one decentralized facility to its new location without affecting customer shipments.

Contract Negotiations

• Built relationships and conducted contract negotiations with major small package, and LTL/FT common carriers that kept the net freight at or below 3% of sales.

• Leveraged a growing business model and ideal package characteristics to renegotiate the small package contract with UPS and save $250,000 annually; 10%.

Supplier Relations

• Developed and maintained vendor quality control ISO programs along with vendor qualification and certification processes and annual supplier reviews.

Shipping/Receiving

• Managed and coordinated all 1st and 2nd shift shipping and receiving activities to meet daily customer’s goals of 100% orders shipped.

• Managed the resolution of cargo claims and audited freight invoices.

Import/Export

• Maintained Customs compliance and all international documentation including NAFTA.

• Set up Automated Clearing House (ACH) for all import containers saving around $45,000 per year in banking fees.

• Found another import lane with faster service at a lower cost; savings of $200,000 annually.
