Fabric The fabric used in jansport bag packs varies with quality it includes nylon. Polyester, denim, linen, canvas, leather.

Marker making:
Marker making is done by manual method by nap one one way most of the fabrics are directional fabrics with S or Z twill in them.
Cutting:
For maximum fabric utilization a rule is employed during cutting.
For manual cutting a rotatory cutter is used.
Sewing:
A separate tape is folded over the fabric to form a bound seam and then the fabric sewn.
Finishing:
Trimming:
Excess fabric is trimmed from the sewn edges.
Precautions:
Accessories: Nickel or Aluminum Zippers. Plastic buckles. Binding Tape.
Packing:Finished product is then stuffed with a stabilizer to maintain the shape of the backpack and to prevent any crimps in the fabric.
It is then packed into plastic covers and is stacked on the basis of size, shape and color.
Price of the Jansport backpacks prior to market range from $40-$125 depending on the style.
Production cost is $15 to $18.
