Carnations
• Avoid giving carnations in France and Germany because they are normally meant for the cemeteries
Roses
• Avoid altogether in all the countries.
• Roses are meant for romantic partners or very intimate friends
• Certainly not for business acquaintances.
Chrysanthemums
• Avoid in Belgium, Japan and Italy because chrysanthemums in these countries usually adorn the cemeteries.
White colored flowers
• White is the color of mourning on China. Therefore avoid gifting any white colored flowers.
