How does info4local fit in?

Inside Government

• On 2 April, info4local will be joining an improved GOV.UK email and RSS alert service

• Existing subscribers will automatically be moved across to the new system along with their preferences, and will receive alerts from GOV.UK instead.

• Further information is available on www.info4local.gov.uk and on Twitter @info4local.

Continual improvement

• The Government Digital Service (GDS) has on average 4 releases a week

• Continuous improvements to the site – Agile, iterative approach.

• User testing – with people who are long-standing, frequent users of departmental sites and have a professional interest in departments.

In the future?

• All ministerial departments on the site by the end of April 2013.• Improvements to main site search and the filters on Inside

Government’s document lists• A worldwide section, profiling HM Government activity in over

200 world locations, including translated content in more than 40 languages. (Launch in late March).

• A ‘get involved’ page showcasing the opportunities to participate in policy development and society

• An expanded history of government section• All government blogs amalgamated and easy to find from Inside

Government.• Provide APIs for the data accumulating in the site
