Some slides may have additional information that has been timed to appear on the slide. You may want to make sure you have given time for this to occur before proceeding to the next slide.

A child placement type called “In-Home” can be recorded for a client who is in DCS custody or Post Custody where the child is placed in an in-home environment that is non-payable and is not considered as a trial home visit.
An ‘In-Home’ placement may be any type of home setting and the caretaker may be a person from many different roles including Church Member, Friend, God Parent, Legal Parent, Minister, Neighbor, Relative or Teacher.
A client may be placed in a ‘In-Home’ placement regardless of the age of the client.

To enter an ‘In-Home’ placement, right click and select ‘Add Placement Location’.

The user will enter the date and select ‘In-Home’ from the placement type drop down list.

The system will enter the Service Setting, AFCARS Setting, Location, Address and ID information. The user will Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ from the Completed drop down list. The user will then click OK. Please refer to the Discharge Reasons training document. EXIT

The placement is added to the client’s record. The user will also notice six additional tabs. These tabs are read only for the case manager.
