ABOUT SVKM'S DWARKADAS J. SANGHVI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) to the society at large, grew out of a humble seed planted during India's freedom movement namely, Shrimati Gokalibai Punamchand Pitamber High School - to nurture socially relevant education. Today, SVKM has grown into a mega education nucleus with many distinguished achievements. It has developed over 42 vibrant institutions in and outside Mumbai, covering a wide range of educational and social needs, thus educating more than 48,000 students annually. These students pursue their careers from school to post-graduation and super specializations in its institutions, thus catapulting SVKM into an institution of global relevance and high calibre.

Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE), a pioneering institution, established by SVKM in 1994 offers Undergraduate programs affiliated to the University of Mumbai in the fields of Chemical, Electronics, Production, Bio-medical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer and Mechanical Engineering. The college also runs Post-graduate and Doctoral programs in the fields of Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical and Computer Engineering. DJSCE has currently grown into a premier institute of technical education and offers a stimulating educational environment, with distinguished faculty members and state-of-the-art facilities.

ABOUT PRODUCTION AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENTS

Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE) started the Undergraduate course in Production Engineering in the year 1994 with an intake of 30 students. The Undergraduate course and the Masters course in Mechanical Engineering were started in the year 2011, with an intake of 60 and 18 respectively. In the subsequent year, the intake in Mechanical Engineer-ing was increased from 60 to 120. Doctoral program in the field of Mechanical Engineering was started with an intake of 10 students in the year 2013. In the year 2016, the intake in Pro-duction Engineering was increased from 30 to 60. Both departments have state-of-the-art infrastructure, which also includes fully air-conditioned class rooms, laboratories and staff rooms. All the classrooms and laboratories are also well equipped with modern amenities, such as multimedia projector and internet access. Both departments have highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching and supporting staff and are sincerely committed to excellence in the teaching learning process. Under the guidance of the management and principal, the departments are further flourishing by leaps and bounds. It has helped the respective departments to attract not only meritorious students, but also many rank holders in the first year admission process done on the basis of their marks in CET/JEE examinations.

About ICIMA 2018

ICIMA 2018 is being organized with a view to foster research in the field of Advances in Manufacturing and Automation. The conference will bring in eminent personalities (academicians and industry practitioners) from various areas of manufacturing and automation on a common platform, wherein they come together and brain-storm for the purpose of holistic knowledge sharing. The exposure and interactions during the conference are expected to open up and introduce many research ideas for upcoming Post-graduate & Doctoral students as well. The conference focuses on the following areas and will include keynote & plenary talks along with technical paper sessions spread over 2 days.
