Our Parent Body Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) is a Public Charitable
Trust registered under the Society’s Registration Act and Bombay
Public Trust Act.
SVKM has always been committed to the cause of providing high
quality education at various levels.
The Trust today has grown into a big educational complex
imparting high-level education to more than 46,000 students.
Over the past 77 years, the Trust has developed large educational

Outlook India – Drshti Survey 2017 ranked DJSCE 3rd in Mumbai & Pune Metro region along with IIT Bombay & College of Engineering, Pune (These are the only 3 institutes in the list from the region) and 33rd amongst the Top 100 Engineering Colleges of India (Issue: 5th June, 2017).
The Week – HANSA Research Survey 2016 ranked DJSCE 7th
in the West Zone and 35th in the top 113 Private Engineering Colleges of India (Issue: June 2015).
Way2college has ranked DJSCE at 48th amongst the top 100 Engineering colleges of India.
CSR – GHRDC (Competition Success Review – Global Human Resource Development Centre 2016) Survey has ranked DJSCE 5th in Maharashtra and 25th in the Top Engineering Colleges of Eminence in India (Issue: July 2016). DJS Skylark successfully designed and manufactured an RC
Aircraft and took part in SAE International AERO Design East
– International level RC Aircraft design competition organized
by SAE International. It was held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA in
March 2016. They hold 3rd Position (Regular Class) for Oral
Presentation in the competition. The team is looking forward
to compete in the SAE international aero design competition
2017 held in the USA after their successful attempts in the
last two years. The team is working on the manufacturing and
testing of a prototype of an RC aircraft apart from being
engaged in drafting a design report and preparing a
presentation for the same.

DJS Racing, the formula style Race Car Design team
represented our college in Formula Student India- National
level Race car Design competition organized by Delta Inc.
and sanctioned by FMSCI. It was held at the Buddh
International Circuit, Noida in January 2016. The team hold
6th position overall, 2nd position in cost event & 4th position
in design event. The team aims to participate in two
competitions: (i) Formula Bharat, held in January 2017; (ii)
Formula Student Germany, in August 2017. The team has
cleared the quiz and is qualified for the Formula Bharat
competition. The qualifying quiz for Formula Germany is
scheduled in January. Currently the testing of the car is being
carried out along with a separate team preparing for the quiz.

DJS Cronos successfully designed and manufactured an ATV
in the college and participated recently in BAJA Student India
– National Level Off-road Racing Competition organized by
Delta Inc. and sanctioned by FMSCI. It was held at the Buddh
International Circuit, NOIDA in January 2016. Also they
participated in BAJA SAE India – National Level Off-road
Racing Competition organized by SAE India and Mahindra &
Mahindra. It was held at the NATRAX Facility, Indore. They
were at 8th position overall. The team has successfully
cleared Virtual round and qualified for Baja SAE India 2017.
Apart from preparing the RCS, Sales presentation and
completing the manufacturing, the team is working on the
testing phase and is set for the ESI competition in January.

DJS Helios A prototype of solar car has been designed and
manufactured during December 2015 and April 2016. The
team will be participating with its solar car in Asia’s largest
solar competition - ESVC (Electric Solar Vehicle
Championship) held in March 2017. The team has
successfully cleared Design Report Rounds A and B to qualify
for the Dynamic Event. The manufacturing of the car will start
by December followed by the testing phase in February

DJS KARTING India is the Go Kart Design team involved inthree competitions: (i) National Kart Racing Challenge (NKRC) inOct 2016 (ii) Go Kart Design Challenge (GKDC) in January 2017(iii) Indian Kart Challenge (IKC) in January 2017. The teamcleared the Virtual round and completed the Static events,Acceleration and Brake Test at NKRC and secured ranks 36 and8, in the virtual round of GKDC and IKC respectively. After themanufacturing and repairs, the testing phase is in progress.
DJS Thunderbolt is the formula based electric car team of thecollege and are creating a formula based (open wheel) scaledelectric race car. The team is aiming for formula studentcompetitions across the globe and will be registering for thesame in January 2017. The car is currently in the designingprocess and will move on to fabrication by the month of January.

The college developed a “Garbage Locator Application‟ which
can be used for civic purposes. BMC officials have
collaborated with D.J. Sanghvi COE and initially launched this
app on pilot basis in their K west municipal ward of Mumbai.
Official launch of app was held at college on 23rd March
2016. Dr. Pallavi Darade, Additional Commissioner, Mumbai
was the chief guest for this event.

Research Convention at Maharashtra Level, representing the

Seven students of BE IT Ankit Anchan, Sushant Tendulkar,Shantanu Kawlekar, Milit Betai, Anish Nair, Sharvil Kadam andHarsh Waghela participated in iHack Coding Competitionorganized in IIT Mumbai on 31st Jan 2016 and declared aswinner (1st Prize) for the Competition.
Two teams from Electronics Engineering Department receivedZEE 24 TAAS AND DNA YOUNG INNOVATOR AWARDS. Theteam headed Siddhanth Gangapurwala for their Flight SimulatorProject and other one by Aditya Ghadiyali for their work projectautonomous quad copter for spraying pesticides and fertilizers.
Shyam Mehta has secured 1st place at VJTI Hackathon,Hack4India and also at DJCSI Flagship event, Codeshastra.

Lekhraj Varsheny from B.E. IT, Kunal Kukreja from B.E.Computer and Monik Pamecha from T.E. computer qualifiedonline round of ACM –ICPC Asia regional, Amritapuri Site, Keralaand also Chennai site. They secured 78th place at Amritapuri siteand 53rd place at Chennai site. Another team of three students ofComputer Engineering, Shyam Mehta, Chirag Jain and PareshDesai secured 79th Place at Amritapuri site.
Monik Pameecha received 1st prize plus a Job Offer inHackathon by Germin8 held in Germin8's Office. A two daycontinuous hackathon to use Machin Learning for Social MediaIntelligence.

Antara Dandekar, Samiksha Save, Siddhi Bhandarkar, Milparinka Desaifrom Bio-Medical Engineeing presented their project titled “Immuno-Haematology System” at competition “Meditronix Trinity 2016” organisedby Lokmanaya Tilak Muncipal Medical College, Sion Mumbai where theybagged 1st Prize on 13 Feb 2016.
Soham Mehta, Mitali Shroff, Monis Qadri, Hiral Rayani, Vitrag Doshi (TEIT) secured the 1st Runner Up at Intercollegiate Poster Competitionorganized by Seed Infotech on occasion of ENGINEER’S DAY.
