RECONCILIATION MOSAICS SITE LOCATION TRAIL

1 2 3

This Reconciliation Mosaic Trail maps the location of several colourful public artworks, produced by local artists and members of the Hume community during a series of creative masterclasses.

The classes were lead by Gunditjmara artist Karen Lovett, with support from professional mosaicist Libby McKinnon, who provided important technical advice on materials and design interpretation.

Each mosaic was inspired by an original black and white print by Karen, who generously shared her stories and insights with community members during the construction process.

The project was achieved in partnership with Kangan Institute Indigenous Education Centre during Reconciliation Week, 2017.
