•Whether you work for a large brokerage or you’re an independent agency, you have to promote your real estate business to be successful.

•Yard signs are an industry staple, but vinyl banners are a great product as well—they are affordable and can be customized.

•Here’s a guide to help with the real estate banner design process:

•Measure the area where you’d like to display the banner.

•Your banner will likely be hanging in front of your office or a listing, so it will need to be viewable from a distance.

•It should be at least 3’x6’ or larger for maximum visibility.

•Most banner printing companies can accommodate custom sizes as well.

Banner Size

•Display the name of your agency and provide your contact information.

•Write something unique and attention-grabbing so that you’re the agent people call when they need to buy or sell!

•Too much text will detract from the main message, so don’t go overboard.

Message

•Select a bold, simple font that is easy-to-read. The larger the text, the further away it can be seen.

•Use your brokerage’s brand colors or, if you’re independent, create your own (make sure the colors contrast each other).

•Incorporate a high-resolution headshot if you have one.

•Outdoor banners require special finishing (they are printed on a thicker vinyl material and the edges are reinforced to prevent wind damage).

•Hang your banner outside your agency or create a welcome home banner for the front of your clients’ new homes.
