Homemade banana

ice cream

INTRODUCTION

This study was conducted to determine what is the taste of an ice cream having banana as its flavor. It also shows the Filipino style of using simple and affordable and the easiest way of making homemade ice cream.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Banana is the most widely consumed fruit in the world for the following health benefits:

• BLOOD PRESSURE – maintaining low sodium intake is essential to lower blood pressure. Increasing potassium intake maybe just as important because of its vasodilation effects. High potassium intake is associated with a 20% decrease risk of dying from all causes.

• ASTHMA – children who ate just one banana per day had 34% less chance of developing asthma. Consuming banana changes in first 2 years of life, may reduce risk in developing leukemia, a good source of Vitamin C that can help combat the formation of radicals known as cancer.

• DIABETES – diabetic person consume high fiber diets, have lower blood glucose level and type 2 diabetes may have improved blood sugar lipids and insulin level.

METHODOLOGY

Materials:4 pieces banana (lakatan)1 can evaporated milk1 can condense milkGround peanutsBlenderKitchen knife

Procedure:

1. Peel the banana and cut into coins.2. Freeze at least 2 to 4 hours.3. Freeze hard.4. Put the frozen banana into the blender and blend it

thoroughly.5. Add the evaporated and condensed milk the put it in a

container.6. Freeze for 4 hours.7. Serve and taste.

Result:

We produced homemade banana ice cream that supply lots of nutrients.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This study produced a simple and affordable homemade ice cream that children would love to do and taste.

Other on season fruits may be used other than banana to flavor.
