Tools You Can Use

Social Networking

• MySpace (www.myspace.com)– Middle School, High School, 20-35– Keeping up-to-date, calendar,

messages, pictures, video– A few hours a week

• Facebook (www.facebook.com)– High School and older– Like MySpace, more tools– A few hours a week

least twice a month is a good rule.

documents without using file space, direct research

and saved to your account– Just a few minutes to set up an account

• Survey Monkey (www.surveymonkey.com)– Audiences with email and internet

access– Allows you to easily create and

distribute surveys– A few hours (survey creation,

distribution, and analysis)

Videos

• YouTube (www.youtube.com)– Students especially– Shared how-to’s, documentaries, performances– Easy to navigate, easy to upload, very time

intensive to create your own content

• Teacher Tube (www.teachertube.com)– Teachers– Not blocked by school’s firewalls!

Other Cool Stuff

• Twitter (www.twitter.com)– Students, teachers, community– Short bites of info about your status– A few minutes a day
