Catering waste – from means of transport operating internationally
•Definition of Catering waste (Reg. 142/2011 Annex I): All waste food including used cooking oil originating in restaurants, catering facilities and kitchens including central kitchens and household kitchens
• ICW is Category 1 material (Reg 1069/2009 article 8)
• ICW must comply with all requirements for Category 1 material as laid down in Regs 1069/2009 and 142/2011 as regards identification, transportation, destruction and documentation - see handout for details
