A facilitator uses different skills to keep a discussion moving

Facilitators have three main responsibilities:

Make sure everyone has a chance to express their ideas

Keep the discussion moving to produce a product

Maintain a safe and respectful environment

In a group that is being facilitated well:

Each group member is treated as an expert

Each group member’s input is equal

A well-facilitated group creates a wonderful flow of ideas
