10) SulphurTuft(Hypholomafasciculare).Thisisaverycommonfunguswhichisusuallytobefoundgrowingonrottenwood.FromAprilthroughtothefirstheavyfrosts,awalkinmixedwoodlands,SulphurTuftsareaverycommonsight,fruitingonfallentrees,decayingstumpsor,occasionally,hollowtrunksoflivingtrees.Itcanbefoundrottingbothondeciduousandconifertrees,althoughitismosteffectiveondeciduoustreeswhichhavealowerlignincontent.Thesefungiareanessentialcomponentofthecycleoflifeinthewoodlands.Itisinedibleduetoitsverybittertaste.Theremayhavebeenafewcasesofpoisoningfromthisfungus.
