“We have chosen the way of truth.” Psalm 119:30
VOLUME 2 September 6, 2015 Number 36
From the Pastor’s Heart
Greetings Southside Family,
We are so glad you chose to join us for worship today. Our prayer is that you
will be greatly blessed as we encounter the presence of God in our worship time
together. Please stop by our guest table at the end of the service if you would
like further information about our church family.
What a wonderful day we had last Sunday. Kick-off Sunday was a great suc-
cess, even with all of the orange and blue, and crimson colors represented in the
congregation. A special thank you to the men and Hostess Committee for pre-
paring and providing the food at the picnic.
Also, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for your giving spir-
it that you displayed each and every Monday night during the month of August.
Our “MONDAYS THAT MATTER” were spiritually enriching and your giv-
ing to the speakers and musicians was tremendous!
Today is Single-Adult Sunday at Southside. We are grateful for the Single-
Adult ministry at Southside. This is a needed ministry in the life of our church
and any church for that matter. Let our singles know how much you love them
today.
The break-out classes were wonderfully attended this past Wednesday night.
We would love to have you this Wednesday if you were not able to attend last
week. Our theme for the break-out classes is “Apologetics”. This simply means
a “defense of the faith”. We live in unprecedented times, and like never before,
we need to know what we believe, and how to defend that faith. Hope to see
you this Wednesday.
I look forward to worshiping with you this morning.
In Christ,
Bro. Stacy

Good Morning!
Today, we recognize our "Single Adults." I am thankful for this ministry team and their im-
pact on Southside Baptist Church and their service to the Lord Jesus Christ! Today we glori-
fy the Christ in this group of people!
This Tuesday, our adult choir will be going to lead a chapel service at the Graceville Correc-
tional Institution. Please join with us in praying that we minister to the inmates in a Godly
way and that their eyes may be open to the gospel through preaching and music!
Also, this Saturday evening our adult choir will be having our "Christmas Music Preview
Party," September 12th at 6:30 at the home of Ms. Mary Lou Easterling. If you haven't en-
rolled in the adult choir and have interest, this would be a wonderful time to join us and be a
part of a great ministry of worshipers!
In Christ Alone,
Bro. Gary

Good morning everyone,
Scheduled revival services have ended, but I sincerely hope the fire that has started will con-
tinue to burn in our hearts in the coming days. Hebrews 10:23 reads, “Let us hold fast the
confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” What a blessed
promise that is! Let’s be found faithful and unwavering in our commitment to Christ and
His Church.

Good morning,
With all the changes in our society it is becoming of vital importance to be able to defend
our Christian beliefs. As followers of Christ we are being attacked from all sides. We have
in recent history been a major force in the influence of the paths our nation has taken, but
now things like situational ethics, de-emphasizing certain historical events, and attempting
to adapt the Bible to fit social preferences are more prevalent in today’s society. God’s
word is inerrant, penetrating, and convicting. It is as relevant today as when God inspired
the men to put stylus to clay, lead to papyrus, or ink to paper. This is one reason God’s
Word is referred to as the Living Word. Join us on Wednesday’s as we dive into three
Apologetic Studies to help supply you with tools to defend your faith.
We are fast approaching a very busy time of year. If you haven’t heard, the Student Minis-
try is renting chairs for the Peanut Festival Parade and about to launch a fruit sale to help
raise funds for winter and summer camps. The fruit sale will consist of Indian River orang-
es, grapefruit, tangelos, and even some apples. We will begin the sale September 20 and
run through the month of October. The fruit will be delivered the week before Christmas
and a great gift idea. There are two sizes of boxes to choose from and mixed boxes are
available. More information to come…stay tuned.
