This conference addresses the diagnosis and treatment of common sports medicine conditions.
This educational activity is designed for primary care and sports medicine physicians,
athletic therapists, coaches, and other interested health care providers. The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of
Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of
Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of
5.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only the credit
commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This educational program is approved for 5.25 hours of continuing
education credits for athletic trainers, which has been approved by the
Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
All participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance to
receive 5.25 continuing education hours/credits.
Following the conference, the participant should be able to:
• Discuss information about heat stroke and concussions to enhance athlete safety
• Review prevention and rehabilitation techniques for ACL and foot/ankle injuries
• Provide research outcome and safety information regarding current athlete training methods
