We are going to be creating mosaic self portraits today.
Have a photo of yourself ready to
complete this activity, or just use a
handheld mirror.
The photo only needs to be from your head
to your shoulders.
Step One: Draw a rough outline of your face, neck and shoulders. You can trace around your picture if needed.
Step Two: Choose the materials you wish to work with.You can either cut small squares out of coloured paper or use pens/pencils to colour in pieces of white paper for the mosaic
tile pieces.
Step Three: Arrange your coloured pieces of card/paper in a collage-type style to fill in your portrait. Remember to usethe correct colours and tones for the different parts of the
portrait. Use small squares to be accurate.
