Aims:• To trial ML outcome: LAN253 MB (2nd level)• To create real contexts for P6 pupils to

purposefully use modern languages• To involve the community in the life and

learning within school• To raise money for Link School in Ghana

Empowerment - the pupils:

Made décor; personalized

Met guests at front door; social skills

Entertained guests; cross curricular, fun

more French from the guests

being a waitress/ waiter/ showing guests to tables/ my role

eating croissants/ the salami / the drinks

people that were there/ guests were kind

Development for Future:

• Pupils suggested:– Making more things to sell– Having longer– Using ICT at event eg slideshow on wall

• Curricular connections:– Plan in more time for cross-cutting

opportunities eg writing lessons (before and after event), art & design, maths
